Model Material

You hear it daily... "I'm not pretty enough to be a model" or "you're not model material".To deal with this we first need to differentiate between 'model' and 'eye candy'.

mod·el [mod-l] Show IPA noun, adjective, verb, mod·eled, mod·el·ing or ( especially British ) mod·elled, mod·el·ling.
noun

1. a person or thing that serves as a subject for an artist, sculptor, writer, etc.

2. a person whose profession is posing for artists or photographers.
eye candy
 n
1. a person who is or people considered highly attractive to look at, often implying that they are but lacking in intelligence or depth

2. something intended to be attractive to the eye without being demanding or contributing anything essential
A 'model' is any person, animal or item that serves as raw material for artistic inspiration... that's you! You don't have to be 5'10 and anorexic with luscious locks, you just have to stand in front of an artist and let him/her do his thing. Everyone has a quality that's sought after by someone and thereby art worthy.
Whether you are modeling for nude art or sporting this seasons latest beekeepers helmet... you have what it takes so get out there and model!

What is Boudoir?

What is Boudoir?

Boudoir is confidence, strength, fearless dominance. We are our own worst critics. Nobody judges us, highlights our flaws or points out our shortcomings more than we do ourselves.

Once we have conquered ourselves we are ready to take on the world.

The Boudoir client is the Divorcee, the mother of five, the wife of twenty years, the cancer survivor, the beacon at home holding a candle for the military husband fighting in the middle east. She who projects relentless resilience in everything she does but, like us all, falters inside and questions her own strength.

A photographer is a friend, a therapist, a confidant, someone that uses their art to comfort and strengthen those that may not need strength, but could benefit from a little reinforcement to maintain their strength.

I'm not a plastic surgeon, a dietician or cosmologist. I don't make you beautiful, I manipulate light and shadow to show you that you're already beautiful and return you to your life with unequivocal photographic proof that you 'still have it'.
